Clinical Associations

Alongside the detection of autoantibodies against PLA2R (phospholipase A2 receptor), MitogenDx offers serological detection of autoantibodies against THSD7A (thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing protein 7A). This autoimmune diagnostic test contributes significantly to the diagnosis of primary membranous nephropathy (pMN), also known as primary membranous glomerulonephritis (pMGN). THSD7A plays a role in actin cytoskeleton rearrangement, promotes endothelial cell migration, angiogenesis, and cell differentiation.
